What does it mean to be a COMPASS student?
COMPASS students take on a renewed personal commitment: 1) to constantly deepen their own spiritual life and knowledge of the faith, and 2) to reevangelize college life by creatively promoting true human and Christian values. To fulfill this commitment they count on resources from the National Office, support from the COMPASS staff, and encouragement from the hundreds of COMPASS students throughout the country who share their ideals.
Can I be involved in COMPASS if I am the only one on my campus who is interested?
Of course you can! The commitments remain the same, and your sincere efforts will soon yield results in your own life and in the environment on your campus. Once you begin to experience personally the power of the new evangelization, you will start to attract other students as well, and you won't long remain the only one on your campus to catch the spirit.
How can I find out if there are other COMPASS students in my area?
Check out the 'Where COMPASS is at work' sub page [have link there] or contact the National Office directly by email or by phone at (678) 679-2512. If COMPASS has contacts near you, you'll be the first to know - after all, networking is our business!
Why do we need COMPASS if we already have a lot of Catholic activities on our campus?
Are most of the college students you know growing in holiness, in human and spiritual maturity? Is God their first priority? Are the many needs of the Church their deep concern? Or have modern society's anti-values subtly taken over the general climate on campus? COMPASS is not the only answer, but it is the experience of a growing number of campus ministers throughout the country that it is one effective response to the Holy Father's call for a new evangelization.

Who runs COMPASS and how is it supported financially?
COMPASS is a lay run organization. It has a national office staffed by lay men and women committed to the new evangelization of college life. Its Board of Advisors includes business executives, professors, campus ministers, religious and diocesan priests, and ecclesiastical dignitaries. COMPASS is supported financially solely through donations of Catholic and non-Catholic individuals who share COMPASS' mission to evangelize college culture.
